Wimmer is on the comeback trail, rebuilding his career at Richard Childress Racing. In his past five Busch Series races, he has finishes of 10th, ninth, third, fourth and third. Last week at Kentucky, he was in the mix for the victory when he raced from the rear to the top five midway through the race and finished third.
(And it's great to see him prove himself, after Richard Childress giving him a chance!)

Michael Waltrip Racing and Dale Jarrett's crew chief Matt Borland have parted ways. "Dale Jarrett wasn't happy, UPS wasn't happy, and we had to do something immediately," Waltrip said. "Originally, we had hoped that Matt Borland would take the role as the technical director, but he wasn't ready to come off the road. Scott Wimmer has filed a lawsuit against Bill Davis Racing (BDR) claiming he is owed $1.2 million in salary for the 2006 season because the team did not follow the procedure in the contract to fire him. ... SceneDaily
