He also said its flagship Evernham Motorsports cars might have a different look next season.
Cerberus Capital Management, an investment group, this week finalized its agreement to split the Chrysler brands away from DaimlerChrysler, but Delahanty said Dodge's motorsports involvement would not be affected, with the plan for four teams to run 10 cars next season.
Delahanty declined to go into the details of rumors that connect Ray Evernham's team to possible deals with commercial sponsors such as Budweiser or a Masterfoods brand such as Snickers -- but said the No. 9 and 19 Dodges, which have carried Dodge Dealers and UAW sponsorship since the newest program began in 2001, might look different next season.

Then on another front, in regards to Kasey Kahne and Budweiser (That does sound like a nice combination to me! The color of the car won't change much!) Kasey is quoted to say: "I've been in some conversations, so I'd say it's closer if they bring a driver into conversations," Kahne said Saturday at Pocono Raceway. "And it went really well. But as far as anything signed, there's nothing signed that I know of."

Will Robby Gordon be Suspended?
Well now, first Robby Gordon gets spun under caution in the Montreal Busch Road Course race, and when he get's the car going again, NASCAR said he was 13th. (I mean we all know the issue. Get spun, take the spot you are in once you get going again.)
He ignores them, plants the car behind the leader, Ambrose, the fellow who spun him, and upon the restart, spins him out. (Oh like that was a surprise!)
Robby Gordon is ordered to park it, and ignores the order from NASCAR and runs the race to the finish.
He even does victory donuts, next to the real official winner Kevin Harvick.

Wow, did a lot of things go down here today!!
Kevin Harvick won the race after starting in the back of the line on a street road course.
Harvick was followed by Patrick Carpentier, Max Papis, Ron Fellows & Stephen Leicht.

If you didn't watch the race, the last few laps (That took hours it feels) were pretty dang interesting because while Kevin Harvick was treating Montreal fans to a victory burnout, Robby Gordon was also celebrating with a victory burnout. (Gee, we must look really bright the Canadians right about now!!)
Wha? 2 victory burnouts? Yep. 2.
There was an altercation on a restart when Harvick tapped out Scott Pruett, and that caused a fairly good sized wrecking yard. But while that was happening, Robby Gordon was passing Marcos Ambrose for the lead, then Ambrose took the lead back, resulting in Gordon getting spun. (Remember, this was all happening as the yellow flag came out for the other wreck.)
Once Robby Gordon got his car turned around, NASCAR deemed him to be in 13th, but Gordon disagreed, and pulled back up to the front, in the 2nd place.
NASCAR ordered him to 13th, but he refused, and on the restart, spun Ambrose, (The car to beat by the way), and charged on to "lead" the race, despite being black flagged repeatedly and ignoring orders to park it.
NASCAR met with Gordon, then he left the meeting with a copy of the rule book, but he was still seething. (When you leave the principals office with a rule book in your hand, it can't be a good thing, huh?)
Then Gordon went on to dig his own trouble deeper: “You always go back to your position if you get spun out, and (Ambrose) spun me under the caution,”
"They told me originally to go back to second place, and I went back to second place. Then halfway around the last (caution) lap, they said to go back to 13th place or 14th place, something like that.
Dude, not your best move!

Tony Stewart About ESPN
"If every time we do an interview and you (ESPN) want to stand here and dig up dirt, you might as well go find somebody else because we'll wait until you leave before we do the rest of the interviews," Stewart said, responding to a question from reporter David Amber.
Tony is not happy about ESPN's criticism on his statement that he's going to celebrate his Indy win by drinking beer. He isn't a great role model they said. Egads.

NASCAR mulls over Qualifying Tweaks
It would seem that the voices have been heard. (It took how long?)
Though NASCAR is probably not going to change the number of guaranteed show makers, they may be considering grouping the "stay or go home" teams into the same general time frames when they attempt their qual runs.
Of course, Helton says this idea has more merit than changing the top 35 guaranteed spots, but that's Helton for ya. The decision will be made, probably before the end of the month.

Harvick mad at Stewart?
Internet posts are saying that Kevin Harvick is not answering any phone calls from Tony Stewart, as he's assuming that Stewart is calling to apologize about last Sunday's race interaction where, while Stewart and Harvick roughed it up, Harvick got the worse end of the fender rubbing deal and came in seventh from ruffled aero.
"Stewart, who has criticized drivers for not giving him enough room, admitted he made a mistake. ( Duh!) Harvick said if a driver preaches for drivers to give each other more room, the driver needs to abide by it as well."
As far as I can tell, it depends on the day when Stewart preaches racing others as they race him, or giving room, though I am not sure I remember seeing Stewart ever give room, I could be wrong about that.

Montoya's Busch Team to Disband
Juan Pablo Monotoya's Busch team is disbanding after Watkins Glen.
The No. 42 Busch program was formed only to help Montoya adjust to NASCAR after six seasons in Formula One.
After that, Ganassi will stop operating the team because the remainder of the schedule isn't a good fit with Montoya's Nextel Cup season. (What a nice luxury!!)
Upcoming Events for Aug 4-5
Upcoming NASCAR events:
Cup series goes to (yawn) Pocono on Sunday, the 5th. That will be 1 p.m. Eastern, on ESPN.
The Busch Series is going to Montreal on Saturday, the 4th. Look for that at 3 p.m. Eastern, ESPN2.
Truck Series - no not this weekend, but they are going to Nashville on Aug 11, on SPEED tv, at 6 p.m. ET.
