Today, with only 58 long, ardent days to go, (At the time of this post) and we start to look forward to the next season of NASCAR Sprint Cup Racing, and the Nationwide Series coming at us to open up their seasons at Daytona International Raceway.
This Daytona 500 will be the 50th running of the event. Quite the milestone.
The first day of testing isn't as far off as the race is. The first day of Cup testing will be January 7-9, 2008. And of course, as if I need to remind you, they are running the new safer chassis full time this year.
The second testing / group will take place on Jan 14 to 16.
Other series will also be testing:
• Jan. 4-6, Rolex Sports Car Series, all teams
• Jan. 11-13, Craftsman Truck Series, all trucks
• Jan. 18-22, Nationwide Series, two different sessions
Then of course, if drooling all over ourselves isn't enough, there's the fan fest schedule where we get to drool all over each other:
• Jan. 5: The Roar Before The Rolex 24
• Jan. 8: Sprint Cup Fan Fest
• Jan. 12: Craftsman Truck Fan Fest
• Jan. 15: Sprint Cup Fan Fest
• Jan. 19: Nationwide Series Fan Fest
