NASCAR.com and It's FEW Flaws

Over on the Daly Planet, they've got a post going on about the short comings of the NASCAR website.  After explaining it, the editor asked his readers their issues with the site.

The issues noted were:
  • The instant on Video in the middle of the page when you load it.  (Very un-popular).
  • The web page is too busy
  • Too many ads, not enough content
  • Other sites offer the same info with less clutter
  • More easily discernible menus
  • Race updates lag
  • Pit Command is edited, but not consistently
  • The leaderboard is off / behind by a few laps
  • It's hard to locate specific info without a complicated search of the site
It's a great article and the comments are worth reading.  I don't want to take away from it, so I urge you to go read it for yourself.

But something I took away from the comments was the lack of coverage of other series.  It's all about Cup.  Commenters noted that there isn't that much coverage of Trucks and Nationwide events.

With that in mind, I'm going to try and cover more of the alternate series because I just am not quite tired enough as it is, and you should be getting more on the other series.  So look for more as it develops!
