Now that Petty and GEM have gotten together, it seems to resolve the Elliott Sadler issues as well.
The team will field four Dodge entries in the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Details of the transaction are expected once the deal is closed. Petty and GEM officials anticipate a final agreement by the end of January.
With that being said, we now have to see what happens to Allmendinger.
But has the damage been done? Will there be subtle tensions in the team knowing what Sadler would do if his ride is threatened again? And what kind of message was sent by Sadler looking to file a lawsuit? Well, at least he didn't do an end-around and drag Evernham's fiancee into the fray like Mayfield did in his little legal fray.
