Tom Jensen on SpeedTV.com reported that a senior NASCAR official noted that if the 3M Performance 400 at Michigan International Speedway is totally rained out, it could become the final race in the Chase for the NASCAR Nextel Cup.
There is a 100 percent chance of rain today and an 80 percent chance of rain tomorrow in Michigan, which means the race could be run on Tuesday. But rain is a possibility then, too.
