David Reutimann To Be Landon Cassil's Teammate

The venerable Dave Moody reported today that David Reutimann will be the 2nd driver and teammate to Landon Cassil for the upcoming Daytona 500 this year, as he's been tapped to drive the 2nd Toyota Camry for this yet unnamed team.

"Reutimann confirmed to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio's SiriusXM Speedway with Dave Moody that he has been selected to fill the seat."

The new owners of the old Red Bull Racing equipment are a group of investors who are very invested in this new NASCAR Sprint Cup venture.

Reutimann believes his car No. will be the 93, but isn't positive.

Right now these investors must be pretty busy preparing all the equipment and what not for the season, and the public is anxiously awaiting the news/press release or announcement of what the team will be calling itself.

This is awesome news for the Reutimann fans, that's for sure!

Update 2/15/12:

Finally found some more info on the team and David Reutimann:

The team's name that bought the Red Bull equipment and points is called BK Racing.  They're former TRG investors who own several Burger King franchises.  The BK logo is expected to adorn the car.

It is the No. 93 that Reutimann is driving in the D500.

Reutimann is already slated to drive 26 Cup races with Tommy Baldwin Racing, driving the No. 10 car when Danica Patrick is not.

It's unknown at this time if David will drive the No. 93 when he's not in the TBR equipment.

Travis Kvapil will be taking over the No. 93 after the D500.
