A buddy of mine is heading to Calistoga Speedway, located at the Napa County Fairgrounds. He'll be there for this holiday weekend and in preparation for his visit, he did some research on the track and I found it pretty fascinating.
Leon starts out talking about a man nicknamed "Fancy Pants" came along in 1937 and thought that the fairgrounds horse track could be put to other uses besides racing horses.
